2009 is going to be a huge year here at J&P Cycles®! We’re gearing up to celebrate our 30th anniversary with a 2-day Open House celebration! That’s right – this year’s Open House is going to be 2 spectacular days, June 27 and 28! The hours Saturday are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Sunday, 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Naturally, this event is going to be the largest one, yet! J&P is already known for their open house event. The one-day J&P extravaganza last year brought in more than 15,000 visitors and more than 60 different product manufacturers. The event this year will be highlighted again by Michele Smith’s presence, some of the industry’s top manufacturers, well known bike builders, including Cory Ness, Rich Fairless, Brian Klock and more. Jason Britton will be on hand signing autographs and there will be a bike show on Saturday and Sunday. Saturday’s Bike Show will feature all makes and models and is being sponsored by American Iron and RoadBike. The Bike Show Sunday is an Antique/Vintage Retro Bobber Show and is sponsored by IronWorks. The J&P Cycles® Open House started out as a small Customer Appreciation Day held by owners John and Jill Parham to thank their customs for their business throughout the year. Now, as the world’s largest aftermarket retailer of parts and accessories for Harley-Davidson®, V-Twin Metric Cruiser and Sport Bikes, this event has become the largest one-day event in the MidWest. Spectators at the 30th anniversary event can also see the Teresi Dyno Drag, ILL Conduct Motorcycle Stunt Show, the Motorcycle Monster and the Daytona Harley-Davidson® Drill Team. A silent auction will be held to benefit the National Motorcycle Museum and some very special activities are planned for children, so bring the whole family. Visitors will also save big throughout the weekend on J&P Cycles® enormous inventory of parts and accessories. Most products in the showroom will be 10 percent off (15 for Gold Club members) and a portion of the one-acre warehouse will be devoted to drastically reduced clearance items (up to 50 percent off). The J&P Cycles® Showroom Semi will be on hand, displaying some of the coolest products around, and you can win over $5,000 in door prizes. Plus, sign up for a chance to win the 2009 J&P Cycles®/Easyriders Build-A-Bike Sweepstakes Bike! J&P Cycles® knows how to throw a party, and this year’s event will be like no other! Tour De Dubuque
Dubuque,IA
Sponsored by : Hospice of Dubuque
The 12th Annual Tour de Dubuque motorcycle, bicycle and classic car ride to benefit Hospice of Dubuque will be held Saturday, August 28. The different assortment of occupations and personalities among the riders of the Tour de Dubuque are as varied as their modes of transportation. The common thread they share is their love of riding and viewing the tri-state countryside while supporting their local, not-for-profit hospice, Hospice of Dubuque. Custom Riders, Inc., the Dubuque Bicycle Club and area classic car clubs are pleased to host and organize this year’s Tour de Dubuque. Registration will begin at 10 am from Kirchhoff Distributing, 5035 Chavenelle, with all groups departing by noon. Everyone is encouraged to collect pledges in advance of the ride. There is a $10 entry fee for anyone wishing to ride that has not collected pledges prior to the event. Pledge forms and route maps are available at the Hospice of Dubuque office and Website. Prizes will be awarded to those who collect the most in pledges. The success and longevity of the Tour de Dubuque can be attributed to the loyal participants, generous sponsors and dedicated volunteer committee members. The proceeds from this popular event directly benefit patients and families of Hospice of Dubuque and ensure that anyone affected by a terminal illness has access to compassionate hospice care. The Tour de Dubuque has become a personal journey for those who ride in memory of family, friends and loved ones. As a member of Custom Riders remarked, “At one time or another, Hospice of Dubuque is going to come and touch your life.
